Where we can help

Homelab & self-hosting

We help build and evolve personal environments, covering hardware selection, Proxmox, Docker, self-hosted services, networking and backups. Suitable patterns inform the future Xtechnic Blueprints.

A homelab can be a learning environment, a personal cloud or a platform for your own services. Turning experiments into a usable environment takes a clear structure. We bring networking, compute, storage and backups together around your goals.

What you receive

  • Architecture, hardware selection and growth planning
  • Proxmox, Docker and self-hosted services
  • Documentation, handover and blueprint assistance

IN DETAIL

What we can help you implement.

The specific scope is shaped around your environment and agreed together before work begins.

01

Architecture with room to grow

Planned services, existing hardware and possible additions are considered together. Power use, space and complexity inform a suitable foundation.

02

Operate understandable services

Virtualisation, containers and self-hosted applications are connected with appropriate networking, storage and access. Configuration and dependencies should remain clear.

03

Learn and develop

Documentation and a shared handover help you understand the system. Further steps can build on the foundation without changing the entire setup at once.

TYPICAL REQUESTS

Turn a need into a concrete project.

These examples illustrate possible starting points. We use your actual situation to develop a suitable solution.

01

Your first personal server

You want to run several services on a common foundation. We help build an appropriate setup and explain how resources, networking and backups fit together.

02

Organise a growing setup

Containers, VMs and configurations have accumulated over time. An inventory makes dependencies visible and helps prioritise sensible next steps.

03

A private test lab

New services should be explored without unnecessarily disrupting everyday use. We plan suitable areas and establish how changes can be documented and rolled back.

How we work

See the whole picture.Get the details right.

A good network is only the beginning. When devices, data and software work together, you get a solution that holds up in everyday life. We consider use, responsibilities and the next steps after handover alongside the setup itself.

01

Understand

We listen and establish your goal, existing setup and actual needs. The people affected, dependencies and known constraints are part of the starting point.

02

Plan

You receive a clear proposal with a defined scope and sensible priorities. Requirements, possible interruptions and responsibilities are discussed in advance.

03

Implement

We configure, integrate or develop the agreed solution and check relevant functions. Specialist work and additional changes are coordinated for the project.

04

Support

Documentation, an introduction and a clear handover keep the system understandable. Further development, maintenance or ongoing assistance can be arranged individually.

FAQ

Good to know

Can existing hardware be used?

Often it can. We consider capacity, connections, storage, power use and condition in relation to the services you want to run.

Can you help with an existing homelab?

Yes. Assessment, organisation or a focused extension can be arranged without a complete rebuild.

How does this differ from a blueprint?

The service is designed around your environment. A future blueprint describes a defined reference solution to build yourself. Help adapting it can be arranged separately.

Can I operate the system myself afterwards?

That is an important planning goal. Scope, technical depth and documentation are agreed so that you can understand the operational tasks involved.

What should your technologymake possible?

A specific problem, a new project or simply a good idea. Tell us what you want to achieve and what technology is already in place. Together we will find a suitable starting point.
